3. Flag Raising at the Israeli Consulate

In honor of Israel \'s 60th anniversary, the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles is proud to host a historic celebration, where the Israeli flag will be raised, for the first time ever in Southern California, with pride in front of the Israeli Consulate building.
The ceremony will includes the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles , Jacob Dayan, Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, and musical entertainment by Macy Gray, Noa Tishbi, and others.
However, the highlight of the ceremony will be the symbolic procession of 60 shofar blowers from throughout the community.
The success of this day depends on your participation. If you would like to be a part of this event as a shofar blower, or know someone who would, please email Carolyn Ben Natan at publicaffairs@losangeles.mfa.gov.il

5. Bagel Stop!
Every Tuesday 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. bagels
In front of the bookstore, on the lawn
Stop by, grab a bagel (and cream cheese, of course!) and hang out for a bit.

6. High Holy Days Information
All services will be held at CSUN Hillel
Celebrate the High Holy Days with CSUN Hillel. Services are free for students, but tickets are required for all. Email Adam to reserve your tickets before Friday September 26th.
This year services will led by Rabbi Jonathan Klein.

Evening Service - Monday, September 29, 6:00pm. Do not miss the student dinner following services for $10. Dinner must be reserved in advance.
Morning Service - Tuesday, September 30, 10:00am
Yom Kippur
Kol Nidre - Wednesday, October 8, 5:45pm
Morning Service - Thursday, October 9, 10:30am
Yizkor Service - Thursday, October 9, 4:30pm
Yom Kippur will conclude with the sounding of the shofar at sundown, followed by a light break-fast at 7:04pm.
